First Blog!!

Hello friends and family. We are happy to say that we have now jumped onto the blogging bandwagon. We hope this will help keep everyone updated with our busy but enjoyable lives!

Mike has just been released from his High Council calling after 5+ years and is now the Bishop’s Executive Secretary. He is also teaching our ward’s Family Relations class to fill the void from teaching and speaking he has done in his stake calling. Mike has now officially retired and has been volunteering at our church's food storehouse. He and his friend Orman plan to take several motorcycle rides this year including a trip to Vermont.

Eve continues at JCPenney and is one of the few who still has decent hours. She loves her newly built craft room, her date nights, her nursery leader calling, and loving grandchildren (6 and twin girls on the way!). She is so sweet and loving and supportive of all. She is looking forward to the family trip to New York for our church's pageant in the summer.

Brett is a senior at THE Ohio State University and is proud to be a Buckeye. He has 2 part-time jobs and a newer car since his last one lost its transmission. He is getting used to commuting since he gave up his apartment on campus due to the economy. Really he is getting used to us. He is a textiles and clothing major and wants to eventually move to a bigger city like NYC to pursue his dream career. Brett is looking forward to some long awaited family vacations this year.
Katy is a senior with great grades and is still cheerleading. She has decided on Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, OH and has been accepted to the college of nursing on a full tuition scholarship. Katy still works at the nursing home and volunteers for everything. What a resume! She is excited to venture off to college and live on her own.

We are thankful for Eve’s mom, Sherry, who lives with us and sparked us to do many projects last year that would not have gotten done. She lives for today and loves planning for tomorrow. Sherry was thrilled with the recent visit of her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter, the Adams family.
Our goals for the rest this year include a remodeling of our house, exercising as a family, taking mini-vacations, serving others, and attending our children's graduations.

Come back and visit for updates on "The Real O'Neil" :)
